Lahore: Secretary Health Punjab Hassan Iqbal paid a surprise visit to the District Headquarters Hospital Kasur on Monday and issued suspension orders of Medical Superintendent of the hospital.
When Secretary Health reached the hospital, the Medical Superintendent Dr. Waqar Rana was absent from duty without taking leave. Secretary Health visited various wards of the hospital. Hassan Iqbal took serious notice of non availability of anti-biotic medicines and poor arrangements of dialysis of kidney patients. He expressed his displeasure over the pitiable state of affairs in the hospital and ordered immediate suspension of the MS. He further directed issuance of show cause notice and proceedings under PEEDA Act against the Medical Superintendent.
Meanwhile, Secretary Health also checked the mobile polio teams in the village of Kadi Wand in District Kasur.
