Please do not politicize restoration work of Jinnah Barrage:Punjab Govt appeals to politicians

Lahore: A spokesman of Irrigation Department has clarified that Punjab government is implementing various coordinated projects for the restoration, construction and repair of barrages under which the Jinnah Barrage restoration work is continuing with the cooperation of World Bank. He said that the restoration and reconstruction of Jinnah Barrage project was started in June 2012 under which Kala Bagh Railway Bridge will also be constructed so that alternate route for traffic between Bannu and Mianwali could be provided.

The spokesman appealed to the political leaders of district Mianwali to refrain from providing wrong information to the people. He further clarified that M/s Descon Engineering is implementing this project as contractor firm.
