Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said that recent hike in the prices of essential items in particular eatable items in the market after the announcement of the budget should be withdrawn and steps should be taken to bring prices at the pre-budget level.
He said this while talking to party leaders and workers at differences in Gujrat today. He was accompanied by Mian Imran Masood, Ch Ejaz Ahmad of Shahdola Town and Azmat Shah among others.
Ch Parvez Elahi said that poor and common man is very much worried over the marked hike in the prices of essential items even before the approval of the budget.
He spent very busy day and besides meeting his party leaders visited the houses of many companions and workers and offered ‘fateha’ for the departed souls of their family members and relatives.
At the residence of former Nazim Shehzad Gul, he greatly appreciated his services for the party. On this occasion, Attaullah Gill, Haji Sagheer Ahmad, Ch Asghar Tel Waley and other workers were also present. He also met Syed Zameer Hussain Shah and expressed gratitude to him for his full support during the election.
Ch Parvez Elahi offered condolences to Ch Muhammad Aslam and Ch Muhammad Ashraf over the demise of their sister. Besides Syed Mushtaq Hussain Jangi, he also visited the residences of Zahid Hussain Shah, Syed Shaukat Waseem, Syed Talib Hussain Shah, Sabir Shah in Medina Syedaan and Syed Alamdar Hussain Shah in Jamalpur Syedaan and offered “fateha” for the departed souls.
