Govt start making plan to give subsidy on biogas

Lahore: Provincial Minister for Agriculture Dr. Farrukh Javed presided over a meeting at Agriculture House which considered the provision of subsidy on biogas and solar water pumps to small farmers by the government throughout the province.

Project Director Dr. Ghaffar Dogar gave a briefing about the importance of biogas and solar water pumps. Provincial Minister said that Punjab government wanted to introduce cheap and quality alternative energy sources. He said that biogas and solar water pumps would be provided to the small farmers on subsidy.

He said that Punjab government will provide biogas and solar water pumps at a cost of Rs.7.50 billion to the farmers cultivating five to 12.5 acres land.
