Sharaqpur police ‘kills’ a teacher’s son in illegal custody

Lahore: Pakistan Christian National Party and Pakistan Minority Movement yesterday held protest and sit-in in front of Lahore Press Club against Sharaqpur police for brutally killing a member of minorities.

Christian community leaders Joseph M Fansis, Martin Javed Micheal, Salim Gabril, Semuel Piara and hundreds others blocked the PCL road and chanted slogans against the Punjab police.

The protesters said that police official of saraqpur police sation had committed access killing a son of a head master Riaz Masih who has been spreading the light of knowledge for whole of his life.

They said that Shraqpur police station SHO Riazudin Gugar, SI Shahbaz, ASI Waryam Ali and their accomplices had brutally killed the headmaster’s son Irfan Riaz keeping him in illegal custody for nine days. They said that the police tortured him to death fracturing his body bones.

They aid that the murderer police SHO and his accomplices were still at large. They said that the DPO Sheikhupura was protecting and backing the culprits.

They urged the CM Punjab Mian Shahbaz Shrif and the CJP to take stock of the heinous act of the police officials of Sharaqpur.

They said they would continue their protest unless the murders of Irfan Riaz are hanged till death.
