CM notice accumulating rain water in Lahore

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif while taking notice of the information about accumulating rain water at some places in Lahore issued directions to district administration and WASA authorities to immediately drain out water. He directed that all resources should be utilized for drainage of water particularly special arrangements be made in low-lying areas to ensure immediate disposal of water at all costs.

The Chief Minister also directed assembly members to supervise the work of drainage of water in their respective areas so that the difficulties being faced by the citizens could be redressed at the earliest.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has also expressed deep sense of sorrow and grief over the loss of precious lives as a result of collapsing of roofs due to storm and heavy rains in various cities including Lahore. He said that Punjab government equally shares the grief of heirs of the deceased.
