Punjab Government signs MoU with Chines company for cooperation in energy

Lahore: A memorandum of understanding was signed between Punjab government and a prominent Chinese Company NORINCO International for cooperation in energy, transport, infrastructure and other sectors at a local hotel. Chairman Planning & Develpent Punjab Sohail Ahmed and President NORINCO International Hu Farong signed the document.

Managing Director Metro Bus Authority, Secretary Communication & Works, Secretary Transport and senior officials of NORINCO International were present on the occasion.

Under MoU NORINCO International will extend cooperation to Punjab government for setting up an industrial city near motorway M2, construction of infrastructure for metro training Lahore, launching of solar energy project, solar irrigation project and various projects of roads.

NORINCO International will implement all these projects expeditiously. Under the agreement, Chinese Company will provide financing, technical expertise and other services so that these projects could be executed expeditiously. NORINCO International will also cooperate with Punjab government in other sectors.
