Ombudsman office to utilize Citizen Feedback System

Ombudsman Punjab Javed Mahmood has decided to utilize Citizen Feedback System of Punjab Information Technology Board to redress the grievances/complaints of general public and ensure good governance. The decision was taken in a meeting with Dr. Umer Saif, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board who visited Ombudsman Office alongwith a team of IT experts, today.

Ombudsman Punjab said that the Ombudsman Office was actively working to eradicate maladministration in the departments and determined to give relief to the people. “We will get information of maladministration to achieve above mentioned targets from any source, available for this purpose.

That’s why we have decided to utilize Citizen Feedback Module of PITB and review the messages and information of maladministration and corruption of the departments, received through sms”, said Ombudsman Punjab.

Collaboration of PITB and Ombudsman Office will enhance the efficiency of the departments as well, added Javed Mehmood. He also hailed the efforts of PITB, contributed in computerization of the departments, introducing a comprehensive monitoring system for Anti Dengue Campaign and introducing Toll Free Numbers for the information of general public.

Chairman PITB brief about the services, PITB may render to the Office of Ombudsman Punjab. Umer Rasool, Secretary Ombudsman Punjab, all Advisors, Director PR and Registrar were also present in the briefing.
