Saturday off has been cancelled in the offices of Ombudsman Punjab

Lahore: Saturday off has been cancelled in the offices of Ombudsman Punjab and Ombudsman Office Lahore as well as Regional Offices at Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Multan will observe work for 6 days in a week following the working pattern of Lahore High Court.

Ombudsman Punjab, Javed Mehmood, has issued circular in this regard according to which all advisors will work in the filed on each Wednesday whiles visiting sites and managing spot inspections according to complaints.

No hearing work will be fixed for Saturday and only work of judgment / order writing, clearing pendency and coordination meetings will be carried out on Saturday. Ban on the use of air conditioners has been put in place in  all the offices of Ombudsman Punjab, till the time the power crises is resolved and the advisors have been directed to follow open door policy by keeping the doors of their offices open for the applicants, says the circular.
