JI slates lathi charge on protestors in Faisalabad

Lahore:  Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Syed Munawar Hasan and JI Secretary General, Liaqat Baloch, have condemned the brutal lathi charge by the police on the people in Faisalabad protesting over the prolonged load shedding, and said this was something unpardonable.

In a joint statement here, they said that the people who were being denied their basic needs had the democratic right to protest and the attempt to crush them through state machinery was condemnable. They said that the masses expected quick solutions from the new government for their problems and the rulers should bent their all energies in that direction.

The JI leaders also appealed to the masses to lodge peaceful protests and refrain from violence and damaging the state property as this would harm their just cause.
