Punjab will be a modal province for others :Shahbaz Sharif

Lahore: President Pakistan Muslim League-N Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that as Khadim-e-Punjab he will utilize all its energies for making Punjab a model province during the next five years.

Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that he did his best during the last five years with regard to public service in Punjab and still greater efforts will be made in the future. He said that PML-N has decided to learn from its mistakes and greater consultation will be made with the elected representatives of the Punjab Assembly. He said that Punjab cabinet will be formed with the consultation of Assembly Members and only those members will be inducted in the provincial cabinet as are capable to serve the masses round the clock. He said that his head is bowed before Allah Almighty for the victory of PML-N in Pakistan generally and in Punjab especially.

He said that PML-N has the support of 84 percent members of Punjab Assembly which is a golden chapter of the provincial history. He said that this success of PML-N has gone beyond even three-forth majority and is a blessing of Allah Almighty in the result of the efforts of PML-N leadership and workers towards serving the masses. He said that it is time to be humble and dedicate all energies for the service to the people. He said that if the public problems were disregarded the party will be lost in history but on the other hand if elected representatives became servants of the people they will be given due respect and honour by the masses.

He said that despite posting of honest and competent DPOs and Regional Police Officers in all districts of Punjab the desired change has not been brought about in the Thana culture. He said that just as 99 percent police force in the brotherly Islamic country Turkey is corruption free, similarly, it is desired that police stations in Pakistan especially in Punjab serve as a source of redressal of the grievances of the common man instead of a symbol of terror as they were in the past. He said that in order to make Punjab a haven of peace it is necessary that revolutionary changes be introduced and Patwari culture is also eliminated so that people were saved from unnecessary litigations.

Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif reiterated the determination that PML-N leadership will change Thana culture in the province.
