Lahore High Court on Monday took notice of the news published in a section of press regarding kidnapping and gang rape of a minor girl in the suburban area of Hafizabad. District & Sessions Judge, Hafizabad has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.
According to details, the parents of victim said their 13-years-old daughter was kidnapped at gun point and gang raped by some nominated accused persons. She was then left naked in the street in front of their house. They said the suspects had later threatened to kill the girl if they filed complaint with the police.
The family of victim protested against the police for refusing to register a gang-rape complaint against four nominated suspects. The protesters gathered in front of the Press Club and chanted slogans against the police. The protestors later dispersed after some police officers assured them that an investigation will begin soon.
LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
