Special teams have completed vaccination of children against measles:Spokesman

Lahore: A spokesman of Health Department Punjab has said that anti-measles campaign is being started in 11 affected districts of the province from June 24 which include Gujranwala, Faisalabad and DG Khan. The spokesman said that the four deaths due to measles occurred in DG Khan one week ago and there is no new causality.

The spokesman further said that vaccination of children of six months to ten years of age against measles has been successfully completed by the special teams of Punjab Health department under mop up campaign in the affected tribal areas with the cooperation of political authorities.

The spokesman further said that taking notice of the deaths due to measles in Faisalabad and Gujranwala children aging between six months to ten years have been inoculated under mop up campaign. The spokesman said that the Punjab government and the Health Department are trying their level best to control measles and all resources are being utilized besides seeking the services of experts in this regards.
