syed munawar hasanLahore: While welcoming Chinese Premier Li Keqiang ‘s visit to Pakistan and his address to the Senate, Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has stressed upon the newly elected government in the country to further strengthen the ties with the great neighbour in order to get out of the US slavery.

China is not simply a good neighbour but also a great well wisher and a strategic partner and has been assisting this country in different spheres which speak of the strong and lasting Pak- China friendship, he said in a statement here on Thursday.

Syed Munawar Hasan also noted that China’s offer for mediation between Pakistan and India on the Kashmir issue indicated its honest desire for regional peace. He said that the presence of the US and NATO forces in the area and Washington’s effort to build India as regional power to curtail China’s influence was a conspiracy to destroy the regional peace. He said, the US wanted to continue its control over world trade. Both the US and India had been strongly opposing Gowadar’s handing over to China, The two were also behind the abductions and killing of Chinese engineers in Balochistan with a view to creating bad blood between China and Pakistan, but their conspiracies did not materialize, he added.

Lauding Premeir Li’s address to the Senate, he said that the ideas expressed by the Chinese Premier for Pakistan’s stability and development and uplifting of its people were the heart desire of the Pakistanis.

He hoped that the Pakistan government would immediately embark upon the projects proposed by the Chinese leader for pulling out this country out of the energy crisis.
