Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court, Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial has constituted six special benches for hearing of cases pertaining to three regions from the week commencing 20th May, till further orders.
According to a roster issued by Additional Registrar (Judicial), Ashtar Abbas, two benches comprising Hon’ble judges have been formed each for Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Sargodha divisions. Mr Justice Rauf Ahmad Shaikh will deal with civil and Justice Muhammad Yawar Ali criminal matters filed by the people of Gujranwala division while civil and criminal matters of the area falling in Faisalabad division will be taken up by Justice Mehmood Maqbool Bajwa and Justice Syed Muhammad Kazim Raza Shamsi respectively, Whereas civil and criminal cases of Sargodha division will be heard by Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan and Justice Abdul Sami Khan. Lahore High Court attaches high priority to litigant public of mufassal areas. Maximum number of cases of these areas are being fixed before the hon’ble judges.
As per roster 25 single and 11 division benches shall function at the Principal Seat of Lahore High Court.
As many as eight single and four division benches will hold sittings at Multan Bench of Lahore High Court while four single and two division benches each for Bahawalpur and Rawalpindi benches have been constituted.
