Lahore: A spokesman of Punjab Food Department has said that Punjab Food Authority Lahore has sealed BFC Manufacturing Unit situated at Allama Iqbal Town for preparing unhygienic and substandard food items.
The spokesman said that Food Safety Officer Fariha Anwar and Assistant Food Safety Officers have sealed the BFC Manufacturing Unit and before doing so, this unit was served with a notice besides a fine of Rs.17,000/-
The spokesman further said that Food Safety Officer Nishtar Town, Aneeq ur Rehman and Assistant Food Safety Officers sealed H.F. Foods on manufacturing substandard juice, using artificial ingredients and non-installation of water filtration plant in the factory.
Specimens have been sent for laboratory test and further proceedings would be carried after receiving the report, the spokesman concluded.
