He said that a meeting of the JI Shoora would be held soon to find out the reasons and factors that led to the poor performance of the JI in the polls and to work out the future line of action for the party. He said there was great unrest among the JI lovers desiring Islamic system in the country due to the one sided election results. He said, he thought there had been a peculiar wave in the political circle all over the country that had affected the Khyber P the most. Khyber P. had been the ideological fortress of the Jamaat e islami and the JI expected big success there.
He however, said that the JI had contested elections independently after about 70 years which had restored the identity of the Jamaat.
He sad that the JI was primarily a religious party and its foremost task was to propagate the message of Islam among the people, therefore, it would continue to discharge its this duty with greater vigour and dedication.
