Hockey is the most liked game among the Pakistanis: Zafar Abbas Lak

Lahore: Hockey is the most famous and liked game among the Pakistanis as well as in the entire world. Pakistan Hockey Team is very famous in the world and also a pride of Pakistani nation. This was said Inspector General of National Highways & Motorway Police Zafar Abbas Lak while inaugurated the 2nd Motorway Police under-16 Boys Hockey champion ship on Sunday with colourful opening ceremony at National Hockey Stadium at Lahore.

The DIG N-5 Central Dr. Muhammad Shafique, secretary PHF (Pakistan Hockey Federation) Asif Bajwa, secretary PHA (Punjab Hockey Association) Rana Mujahid also present at the opening ceremony of the event. 25th teams from all over the Pakistan are participation in this prestigious event. The captains of the participating teams were introduced to the chief guest. Later, IG NH&MP Zafar Abbas Lak inaugurated the event by hitting the ball.

Talking on the occasion IG Zafar Abbas Lak said that Motorway Police is doing its best to develop the games everywhere so that more and more youngsters can take it up as carrer and asset for the country.

Talking about the Motorway Police under-16 championship IG said, it was considered the most important for the development of Hockey in Pakistan. He also presents congratulation to the Pakistan Hockey Federation and Punjab Hockey Association to organize such an event for bringing and attract the National talent from all over the country.
