Photo CPE 01 {Apr26-13}Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior central leader and candidate for National Assembly from NA-105 Pervaiz Elahi continuing his election campaign addressed big public meetings at different places in Gujrat today during which very large number of voters pledged to ensure his victory with big majority.

Addressing a very big public meeting in Union Council Kathala, Ch Parvez Elahi said that towards end of his tenure Shahbaz Sharif has also imposed tax on poor farmers and owners of small houses which we had abolished during our rule in Punjab. He said if blessed by Almighty Allah on coming into power again we will firstly abolish this tax on poor people and farmers again, Insha-Allah. He said imposing tax on small shops and poor people is unfair, they even feed their families with great difficulty, we will also abolish tax levied on them.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that in the election people will cast their votes on the basis of performance, this is the reason that those N-League and other parties candidates who had contested election in 2008 against us because of our great performance are joining our party, we welcome in the PML fold and highly value them out of our hearts, he added.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that Wazirabad Cardiology Hospital and Gujrat University are living example of hatred and vengeance of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif towards people of Gujrat. He said that during their five years they have not provided a single penny for these institutions. He said that services we rendered to the people of Gujrat and also Lahore and the whole of Punjab under the leadership of Ch Shujat Hussain, even our critics and opponents are appreciating and admitting these welfare works. He maintained that as the Chief Minister he had undertaken development works of public welfare in whole of Punjab including South Punjab without any discrimination and differentiating whether one or other constituency was of our colleague or of opponent.

Ch Parvez Elahi asked the people that now they on the basis of power of their vote can take revenge from those who committed oppression on them and as such it is essential that they should put stamp on cycle on the election day adding that cycle is wheel of progress and development which if rolls on, Punjab as well as Pakistan would become prosperous and there would be prosperity in all the four provinces. On this occasion, Nadeem Malhi, Ilyas Warraich, Raza Warraich, Ch Irshad Warraich, Ch Imtiaz Hussain Warraich, Malik Naseer Sindhu, Muhammad Younus Butt, Mazhar Abbas, Haji Ghulam Abbas, Engineer Shehzad Elahi and Haji Zaman were among those seated on the stage.
