Lahore High Court, Lahore, on Wednesday took notice of the news published in a section of press regarding rape of a mother of three children at Shahkot. District & Sessions Judge, Nankana Sahib has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.
According to details, victim submitted an application with Police Station City Shahkot. She alleged that she was sleeping at home with her family. Accused Ali Raza alias Bhola with his three armed men including Khalil etc. jumped the wall and entered her house. They made her family hostage and locked them in one room. She was dragged to other room where accused Ali Raza sexually harassed her while his accomplices kept guard in the courtyard threatening the inmates to keep mum.
Affected woman said when she approached police station for lodging FIR, police officials get annoyed for reporting the incident at Police Helpline 15 and they did not register case. She also alleged that Lady Doctor of Govt. Hospital Shahkot connived with the accused and not issued medical report despite repeated visits by the victim. While on the other hand, the accused persons threatened the affected family for serious consequences. The victim woman had appealed the Chief justice of the Pakistan for taking Suo-Moto notice of the incident. She also claimed that if the culprits not brought to book, she will commit suicide along with her children.
LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
