We did our best for seat adjustment:Liaqat Baloch

Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the JI’s desire for seat adjustment did not mean any weakness of the party but was an attempt to protect the national interests and the common objectives.

He said the JI had tried for seat adjustment in an honorable way but the talks did not prove fruitful, and the responsibility lay with those who believed they were strong enough on their own. He was speaking at a ceremony organized by the Pakistan National Forum, and hosted by here on Thursday.

Liaqat Baloch said that from the year 1970, up to the year 2008, the JI had been involved in the politics of alliance but that did not come up to the expectations of the people. Therefore, the JI had decided to contest the next election on its own manifesto and election symbol. He was confident that the JI would gain a big victory this time because of it had a team of honest and competent leaders who were capable of solving her problems of the people.

The JI central leader said that the country was facing problems of load shedding,  price hike and unemployment, and added that the construction of new dams was inevitable for overcoming the energy crisis.
