Lahore High Court, Lahore, on Thursday took notice of the news published in a section of press regarding rape of a minor girl,7, at Sheikhupura and District & Sessions Judge, Sheikhupura has been directed to probe into the matter and submit a detailed report regarding steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.
According to details, a school teacher, Shahid Shah got registered a case with Sheikhupura Police regarding rape of his minor daughter by some unknown accused persons but police failed to arrest them. Due to which, Punjab Teachers Union held a protest demonstration at Lahore Press Club. A large number of male & female teachers had turned out in support of their colleague. They demanded of the authorities to arrest the culprits at the earliest.
LHC Complaint Cell took serious notice of the news and directed the concerned D&SJ to look into the matter and submit report within a week positively.
