District Officers Zakat to work for the eradication of dengue:Jehanzeb Khan

Lahore: Secretary Zakat and Ushr Punjab Jehanzeb Khan has directed the District Officers Zakat of the whole province to ensure implementation of government instructions issued for eradication of dengue and also submit a detailed weekly report.

He stated this while presiding over a departmental meeting regarding eradication of dengue, here today in which Administrator Zakat Punjab Muhammad Yousaf Butt, Deputy Administrator Zakat(Field)  and other officers were present. Secretary Zakat and Ushr said that all District Zakat Officers Punjab have been given instructions to ensure cleanliness of their offices, regular spray and disposal of garbage stored in store room for a long time. He also directed that all officers should check the roofs of their district offices and remove debris because such places are ideal for dengue breeding.

Secretary Zakat and Ushr Punjab Jehanzeb Khan directed the officers to pay surprise visits to their concerned districts and take action against the responsible in case of non-implementation of instructions and take preventive measures. He said that all officers should utilize their energies for eradication of dengue and play their active role to make government efforts more effective.
