Lahore: The meeting of Punjab Cabinet presided over by Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi lasted for about three hours. The meeting reviewed law and order situation and the security plan for general elections while loadshedding situation in the province was also considered in detail.
Provincial Ministers and Secretaries gave proposals with regard to reducing loadshedding. All the participants of the meeting supported the proposal of two weekly holidays to cope with the problems arising of loadshedding.
The participants also gave suggestions for energy conservation which were highly appreciated by the Chief Minister. Najam Sethi during the briefing by IG Police Punjab, gave instructions for further improving security arrangements.
