Iranian Consul General calls on CM Punjab

Lahore: Iranian Consul General Hussain Bani Asadi called on Punjab Chief Minister Najam Sethi at Chief Minister’s Secretariat, here today. Matters of mutual interest and Pak-Iran relations were discussed on the occasion.

Iranian Consul General Hussain Bani Asadi congratulated Najam Sethi on taking over the office of caretaker chief minister Punjab.

Speaking on the occasion, Najam Sethi said that caretaker government is determined to hold general elections in a free, fair and transparent manner and every effort is being made for this purpose.

Najam Sethi said that forthcoming general elections are of vital importance for the nation and their conduct in a transparent and peaceful manner is the prime responsibility of caretaker government.
