Lahore: Secretary General, Jamaat e Islami, Liaqat Baloch, has said that the JI, if voted to power, , would wipe out terrorism and lawlessness, safeguard the independence and sovereignty of the country and protect the life, property and honour of the people.
Addressing corner meetings in his constituency NA 126, on Sunday, he said that the basic changes would be brought about in the foreign, internal and economic policies of the country with the intention to put the homeland on the path to progress and prosperity. Dependence on foreign loans would be ended and the resources of the Pakistanis within the country and abroad would be utilized in the best possible manner.
The JI would stop the drone attacks and military operations, and cancel the visas of the foreigners issued without security clearance.
Liaqat Baloch said that the criminals behind the killings in Karachi on the 12th of May, 12th of Rabiul Awwal, Ashura Muharram, etc. would be exposed and brought to book. Every possible step would be taken for the release of the country’s respectable daughter, Dr A’fia Siddiqui,
Meanwhile, JI deputy Secretary General, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, candidate from NA 121, in his corner meetings, said that the Jamaat e Islami aimed at giving a hope to the masses for a change of system. The JI did not merely want to secure the office of Prime Minister but to establish the state of Madina where peace prevailed, every citizen got justice, and the existence and dignity of the country was assured.
Farid Pircha said that the JI alone could end price hike, unemployment, load shedding and terrorism.
