Salima Hashmi visits the offices of Health Department

Lahore: Punjab Health Minister Mrs. Salima Hashmi visited the offices of Health Department in the Civil Secretariat, here today.

Secretary Health Arif Nadeem welcomed the Provincial Minister and gave briefing regarding the different wings of the department and ongoing health programmes. The briefing session continued for four hours and all the Additional Secretaries/Deputy Secretaries and other senior officers of the department attended the meeting.

The Punjab Health Minister Mrs. Salima Hashmi said that due to change of weather the atmosphere is conducive for dengue mosquito breeding, therefore, health department as well as other concerned departments should pay more attention towards this issue. She said that all out efforts should be made for control of dengue virus.

She directed that all arrangements for diagnoses and treatment of dengue patients should be finalized so that patients do not face problems in getting medical treatment if required.
