Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Hussain, senior central leader and former Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi, Secretary General Mushahid Hussain Sayed and Moonis Elahi today went to the residence of PML Lahore President Yousuf Ahad Malik and offered their condolences to him over the demise of his father, former MPA and prominent figure Ahad Malik.
Talking to the media after offering “fateha” for the departed soul, Ch Shujat Hussain said that N-League is not able to give tickets to its candidates because it fears those not getting ticket will leave the party, it is essential to change administration of the Punjab for free and fair elections, those dreaming to become the prime minister should first seek interpretation of their dream from a “peer”.
He said that process of seat adjustment with the Peoples Party has not yet been completed, NA-105 Gujrat is our ancestral seat, “I have won won five times in elections from this seat”, Ch Zahoor Elahi Shaheed also contested elections from this seat and now Ch Parvez Elahi is the candidate from this constituency.
Replying to a question about N-League ‘s not being faithful with like-minded (Hamkhayal), Ch Shujat Hussain said that first they should get over their grief and then there would be talk with them,” what you sow, so shall you reap”.
Ch Parvez Elahi reiterated his earlier demand that till the administration of the Punjab is not changed, holding of free and fair election is not possible, present administration of Punjab is the favourite of Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and officers have been told whosoever will give better results in favour of N-League he will get better posting after the elections.
In reply to a question, he said that the caretaker Chief Minister has held talks with the Election Commission regarding changing of the Punjab administration, he should be given time for this.
