Aftab Sultan becomes IG Punjab

Lahore:A seasoned police officer of fourth common ,commandant National Police Academy Aftab Sultan has been appointed IG Punjab,Punjab Government has issued notification in this regard today.

Aftab Sultan born in Faisalabad in 1954,he joined police force as a ASP after completing his graduation in Law.He had been promoted SP in 1983 and became DIG in 2000.He was promoted to the rank of Additional IG and posted as AIG finance and welfare in 2007.

He had served as SP and SSP in different cities of Punjab like Gujjranwala,Gujrat,Khoshab,Sahiwal and Faisalabad and worked as DIG Sargodha,DIG Elite,DIG finance and welfare,Director R & D.He was appointed DG IB in 2011.He was considered as professional,hardworking and an honest police officer.
