CJ orders probe in 7years old girl murder case

Lahore: On publication of a news item in a section of the press regarding rape and murder of a 7-year-old daughter of a labourer, Lahore High Court took serious notice of the incident and District & Sessions Judge, Sialkot was directed to look into the mater and submit a detailed report about the steps taken by the local police along with his own comments.

According to details, Kashash Fatima, 7, daughter of Muneer Hussain, a football maker, was killed and thrown in a pond after subjecting her to rape. Police told, Hassan, 20, cousin of the ill fated girl, is involved in this heinous crime.

D&SJ submitted initial report stating therein that complainant, Muneer Hussain Shah, father of victim and the investigation officer were summoned. The case has been registered at PS Saddar Sialkot and the complainant is satisfied with the progress of investigation. As per postmortem report the deceased was not subjected to any sexual abuse. The report further reveals that D&SJ has directed the SP Investigation and the IO to make all the efforts to trace out the culprits.

After perusal of report, Lahore High Court has directed the D&SJ Sialkot to take the following actions u/s 22-A, 22-B Cr,P.C: –

1.An appropriate direction be issued to the CCPO and the Inquiry Officer (IO) for fair investigation on true lines;

2.The I.O. be directed to secure complete evidence during the investigation.

3.The DPO and the IO also be directed to secure all documentary evidence/reports from concerned experts and annex with police report u/s 173 Cr.P.C.;

4.The local police be directed to file report u/s 173 Cr.P.C. within the stipulated period in order to enable the court to do the complete justice;

5.The D&SJ being ex-officio Justice of Peace should issue any other direction to police authorities as he may deem fit, remaining within the ambit of law, on the subject.
