Music has no boundries:Rekha Suryya

Lahore: Hindustani Light Classical singer REKHA SURYA has said that Pakistani media is a very powerful and committed. Peace is every thing, let’s start its from Home.

While talking to media here at Lahore Press Club she said I was following the traditional style of ghazal “Gayaki” in my concerts. It was not a foot-tapping music. I have my fans who are very loyal, including the young. Music has no limit and boundaries she added. Hindustani Light Classical singer Rekha Suryya trained under Begum Akhtar and Girija Devi.

She is from Lucknow and now lives in New Delhi. She recorded for the Archives of Sangeet Natak Academi in 1994. In India, she has performed in Mumbai, New Delhi, Calcutta, Dewas, Ujjain, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Indore, Vadodara, Lucknow, Nagpur, Chandigargh, Gwalior, Bhuj, Dehra Dun, Gandhidham, Burhanpur, Ludhiana, Faizabad, Ambala, Mussoorie. Outside India, she has performed in Washington D.C., New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Madison, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, New Foundland, Oslo, London U.K., Sri Lanka, Tajikistan and Singapore.
