Shahbaz Sharif inaugurates 300 beds hospital in Shahdara

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has said that new hospitals have been constructed throughout the province under the policy of providing medical facilities to the people at their doorstep and billions of rupees have been spent for providing latest treatment facilities and free medicines to the people during last five years. He said that 300-bed modern hospital at Shahdarah is an excellent gift of Punjab government for the people of the area. He said that modern treatment facilities have been provided in hospital due to which the people of the area will not have to go for treatment anywhere.

He was talking to the media-men on the occasion of inauguration of newly-built modern hospital at Shahdara today. Modern machinery and specialists doctors have been posted in the hospital which was completed in a record period at a cost of one billion rupees. Special Assistant Khawaja Salman Rafique, PML-N leader Riaz Malik, Member Punjab Assembly Rana Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Secretary Health, hospital administration and a large number of people were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister congratulated people of the area on completion of this splendid hospital at Shahdara. He lauded the efforts of elected representatives of the area, Special Assistant Khawaja Salman Rafique, Secretary Health, Secretary C&W and administration due to which this modern hospital has been completed in a record period. He said that high standard medical facilities have been provided in the hospital and modern medical facilities have been made available to the people of the area at their doorstep. Replying to the questions of media-men, Shahbaz Sharif said that the name of the personalities having good repute were proposed for caretaker set up in center and Punjab by PML-N upon which the entire nation has agreed. He said that the process of further consultation for caretaker set up is also continuing in the party. After inauguration of the hospital, the Chief Minister inspected various wards including operation theatre and reviewed the medical facilities being provided there. Secretary Communication and Works and Secretary Health gave briefing about the project and the medical facilities respectively.

Earlier, when Chief Minister arrived at the hospital, the people raised slogans enthusiastically, “Wazir-e-Azam Nawaz Sharif, Shahbaz Sharif Zindabad, Dekho Dekho Kaun Aaya, Sher Aaya Sher Aaya”. Expressing their views the people of Shahdara thanked Shahbaz Sharif as he has given the best gift of the hospital to them. They prayed for his long life for providing them best medical treatment. Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated the hospital.
