Lahore: Member National Assembly Hamza Shahbaz Sharif today inaugurated newly constructed trauma centre at Nawaz Sharif Hospital Yakki Gate.
Provincial Minister for Education Mian Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman and Advisor to Chief Minister Kh. Salaman Rafique also accompanied him. This state-of-the-art trauma centre has been constructed in a period of one and half years at a cost of Rs.35 crore thirty lakh and has four operation theatres, ICU, neurosurgery and CT scan. People will be provided the latest facilities of healthcare under one roof in this modern trauma centre of 72 beds. Facilities of laparoscopy and endoscopy have also been made available in the trauma centre.
Hamza Shahbaz Sharif also inspected trauma centre and visited its various sections. Medical Superintendent of Nawaz Sharif Hospital informed Hamza Shahbaz Sharif in detail about the trauma centre.
Earlier, Hamza Shahbaz Sharif inaugurated a park developed over green belt comprising 11.5 acre land from at Ik Moria Pul to Sheranwala Gate in front of Nawaz Sharif Hospital. This park has been developed in a short period of two and a half months at a cost of about Rs.2.5 crore. Later, Hamza Shahbaz also inaugurated eye centre at Sawami Nagar. He said that his party considers provision of every kind of facility to the citizens as its obligation.
