Talking to media during his visit of Joseph Colony here along with other PTI leaders, Imran Khan said that the PML-N leadership had finalised seat- adjustments with the banned outfits in order to grab power but such moves were promoting terrorism and resulting in the tragic incidents which have been tarnishing the image of Pakistan at international level and putting the lives of minorities in danger.

He said that despite having cognisance of the entire situation, the Punjab government did not react timely to stop the attackers from burning the houses of Christian community which showed their incapability and “deep connections” with banned outfits.

“Police at the site got vacated the houses of victims and then acted as mere spectators instead of barring the attackers from carrying out destruction in the area,” pointed out the PTI chief.
Imran Khan said that the political appointments have been made in Punjab police that were resulting in poor and law order situation in the province. “The Punjab government has failed the police department just by appointing their blue eyed people at top positions,” said Imran.

The PTI chief assailed the federal and Punjab governments for their failure to ensure safety of the lives and properties of minorities in the country. He said that the burning of Christian community houses has badly affected the image of the country at international level. “Had the culprits of Gojra incident held accountable, the tragic incident of Badami Bagh would not have taken place,” said Chairman PTI. He said that after coming into power, PTI would ensure the minority rights in the country and would provide the basic rights to them.
Replying to a question, he said that the Punjab Government was aware of the situation but just because of their lethargic attitude, they could not control the law violating protesters, adding that the government was responsible to ensure peace in the country but it has been failed to fulfill any of its responsibilities.

“Supreme Court is doing the job of government whereas the writ of state seems nowhere,” said Imran Khan.

Responding to a query, he said that the elections should not be delayed at any cost. “Timely elections are the only solution to the entire crisis being faced by the country,” said Imran Khan.
