Lahore: Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that every step to judge the transparency of development projects of Punjab government is welcome but it is but natural to be suspicious of an institution about which there are serious doubts. He said there is a question mark on the performance of NAB as the Prime Minister has himself expressed lack of confidence in this institution in his letter to the Supreme Court.
Rana Sanaullah further stated that before judging the transparency of the Punjab government, NAB should tell the people how many development projects of federal government and other provinces where corruption is rampant, it has probed so far and to what effect. He said that it is a fact that federal government is steeped in corruption up to its neck and tales of corruption are also echoing in other provinces. He said that Punjab government of PML-N has no concern with the sea of corruption from NICL to Hajj quota, OGRA to Punjab Bank and from rental power projects to other scandals. He said that development projects of Punjab government are an example of transparency and the purpose of probe by NAB is only to create a negative impression about Punjab. He said that Punjab government will welcome every inquiry into its projects but it should not be aimed at the achievement of nefarious designs of federal government.
