CM Punjab visits Joseph Colony Badami Bagh

Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif visited CM PUNJAB-2 (2) today and reviewed the damages to the properties which were set on fire. The Chief Minister formally started repair work of houses and shops by placing a brick. The Chief Minister also gained information about the facilities being provided at relief camp and directed the district administration to further improve the arrangements for facilitating the affectees. Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan, Assembly Members and officers of district administration were also present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the Chief Minister said that this tragic incident should be condemned in the strongest terms and assured that Punjab government will fulfill all its responsibilities in this regard. He expressed the determination that the miscreants will not be spared. Expressing sympathies with the affectees, the Chief Minister said that the repair work of the houses will be completed at the earliest. He said that all citizens of the country are equal and protection of life and property of the Christian brethren will be ensured at any cost. He said that the affected families will soon be rehabilitated. He said that protection of life and property of every citizen is the responsibility of the government. He said there is a need to promote sentiments of tolerance and forbearance in the society and Ulema and intellectuals should play their due role in this regard.
