Spring Plantation Campaign 2013 starts in Punjab

Lahore: Publicity and Extension Division of Forest Department arranged plantation of samplings and a lecture regarding benefits of trees in connection with Spring Plantation Campaign 2013 at Government Degree College for Women Wapda Town, here today.

Principal Farzana Baig Gillani, Vice Principal Khadeja Sahiba and students of the college planted the samplings. Publicity and Extension Division also setup a stall of publicity material regarding awareness about plantation and uses of trees in which students evinced keen interest. During his lecture, Dr. Muhammad Akmal Raheem Syed stressed to plant maximum plants during tree plantation campaign. He asked the students and doctors to plant a sampling in the name of their mothers. He said that only plantation is not enough but its look after is also of great importance.
