Third party audit will unveils Punjab govt corruption:Pervaiz Elahi

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi has said corruption and embezzlements in flop schemes and “Shaikh Chilli” projects in the Punjab during last 5 years will be exposed not by dramas but by third party audit of these projects and schemes, audit of crime of returning foreign investment of Rs 121 during our tenure should also be carried out, closure of 4 thousand schools of the poor, reduction in the schools going number of boys and girls and ending of our welfare projects are ample proof of funds misappropriation, we do not sing songs but serve the people, for brighter future of Punjab and Pakistan and restoration of development of our tenure put stamp on cycle.

Addressing a very big public meeting in Hafizabad today, Moonis Elahi said that our tenure was golden era, we strengthened Punjab for making Pakistan strong and during their “manhoos” term Punjab has been destroyed.

Ch Parvez Elahi said that our mission is neither against anyone nor making people victim of vengeance but to serve the people at large without any discrimination as “we have good intentions and like people having good intentions”.

He said that Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had served two terms each as the Punjab Chief Minister between 1985 to 2000 but they had provided only Rs one billion for the development of Hafizabad in all these years whereas he as the Chief Minister had provided development funds of Rs one billion for the people of Hafizabad, one thousand kilometers long roads were constructed only in Hafizabad. He challenged so-called “Khadam-e-A’ala” to come and see that he not visible standing at a distance of one thousand kilometers, “he should compare his works with my record development works”. He said that 60 beds District Headquarters Hospital was upgraded by him and another 150 beds were added to it and also made it functional, we provided free medicines for five years but free medicine is no more being provided after they came into power, 1122 Service was launched which provides timely medical assistance to the people whereas they have no such project to their credit and out of embarrassment Shahbaz Sharif starts reciting verses and gets forgetting that Habib Jalib had written this nazam for rulers like them. He asked whether he has become the Chief Minister for singing songs adding that he has not a bit of wisdom. He said he had upgraded 950 schools and constructed 200 new schools only in Hafizabad, established new centres and schools for education and training of special children and provided them wheel chairs also but “Khadam-e-A’ala” had greatly damaged education by closing down four thousand schools.

Continuing, Ch Parvez Elahi pointedly stated that during our five years tenure we had provided 80 per cent gas to the cities and villages, provided sewerage system costing Rs 20 crore only for Hafizabad, what N-League has given to the people of Hafizabad?, we had established 9 water filtration plants only in Hafizabad which are non-functional now, also established a model village in Hafizabad, literacy rate in Punjab had increased from 43 per cent to 65 per cent during his tenure, and asked by starting “Jangla” Bus in Lahore by dumping Rs 70 billion and which has eaten funds of entire Punjab what service Shahbaz Sharif has rendered to the province and its people.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that Shahbaz Sharif is very fond of surveys, ” he should get survey done of my tenure and his tenure to see in whose tenure record development works were done”. , he will know this in the coming elections and then he would thing about elections in his life. He asked the people that for ensuring success of PML to put stamp on cycle in the elections because cycle takes its rider to destination with no expenses on petrol or diesel whereas lion eats his own rider because he has got no brain.

Addressing the public meeting, Moonis Elahi said that we have special relationship and love for the people of Hafizabad because they are loyal people, we have never heard about Bhatti family that any of its member had ever contacted other party, our tenure from 2002 to 2007 was golden era whereas their five years are included in “manhoos” years, we had gioven the gift of 1122 service to the people whereas they have even snatched from doctors their livelihood even, PML provided employment to the unemployed youth whereas due to faulty strategy of N-League, 6000 people have committed suicide, we made education free, gave free textbooks, they gave Daanish Schools in which buffaloes, cows and goats are seen, we made Punjab strong so that Pakistan becomes strong but they have done no such work because of which Pakistan becomes strong, we had left Rs 100 billion in the public exchequer whereas they have given heavy debt of Rs 500 billion. Moonis Elahi said that for cheap publicity, Rs 36 crore were wasted in just three hours at the inauguration of “Jangla” Bus adding that lap top scheme is also a “tamasha” scheme details of which he would be making public in next few days.

Former MNA Mehdi Hassan Bhatti while speaking on the occasion said that in the next elections, Insha-Allah, all five seats of district Hafizabad will be bagged by PML, we are loyal people and we cannot forget the great services rendered by Ch Parvez Elahi for the development of this district, liar “Khadam-e-A’ala” visited Hafizabad twice but did not provide even a single penny for its people, we appeal to Ch Parvez Elahi that after securing victory in the next elections university campus be established in Hafizabad.

Federal Minister Ch Liaquat Abbas Bhatti said N-League was inpower in Punjab for five years but Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif had not honoured their promises made with the people of Hafizabad. He said Shahbaz Sharif had made two promises, one was provision of park in front of the hospital and construction of carpeted Hafizabad. He said as compared to this when Ch Parvez Elahi had become the Chief Minister, we had put 27 demands before him all of which were approved by him.

Rai Jahangir Ali Kharal, Shaukat Ali Bhatti and Syed Ziaullah Shah Bokhari also addressed the public meeting while those seated on the stage included Federal Minister Akram Masih Gill, Ch Zaheeruddin, Ch Mubashar Abbas Bhatti, guest from Saudi Arabia Sualeh Muhammad, Mehr Rizwan, Malik Ahmad Hayat Awan, Malik Sikander Hayat Awan, Malik Gulzar Ahmad Awan, Ch Shaukat Tarar, Mohammad Suleman, Abdul Rashid Booti, Liaquat Ali Kharal, and Nasir Mahmud Gill among others.
