PML-N rejects hike in petrol prices

Lahore: The PML-N Friday rejected the hike in oil prices and slammed the government for adding to the woes of people days before it is scheduled to dissolve.

PML-N leader Senator Tariq Azim said in a statement that instead of giving relief to common man the government has burdened the public with additional Rs 5 billion under the garb of increase in prices of petroleum products in international market.

“This hike is sheer injustice to people who are already forced to run their vehicles on petrol due to acute shortage of CNG in the country,” he said.

He said the government has increased oil prices as it wants to mint as much money as possible before its corrupt tenure ends.
The senator demanded that the government revert its decision and provide relief to the masses by slashing spending on its luxuries.
