Situation, the situation in Balochistan, the forthcoming elections, and the formation of the care taker government.
At the meeting, Talal Bugti told the delegation that his party would endorse the name for the care taker PM proposed by the like minded parties. He said the situation called for an APC on Balochistan as the situation there was getting worse day by day. He said that if the involvement of the agencies continued, Balochistan would have engineered elections. He further said in case the Supreme Court called for evidence in connection with the law and order in Balochistan, his party could present the same.
Talal Bugti further said that the people of the Bugti tribe were camping in districts of Nasirabad, Jaaferabad, Kohlu, Marri, Kayan, Rahimyar Khan and Sadiqabad, however, their voting anywhere except the Dera Bugti would not be accepted.
At the meeting, Liaqat Baloch extended all out support of the JI for the constitutional and democratic rights of the Balochistan people. He said that the JI would contact the other opposition parties including the PML(N) chief Mian Nawaz Sharif, on the issue of the APC for Balochistan. He said that there was heavy interference by the agencies and security forces in the Dera Bugti and Sui areas which was not conducive to the holding of free elections. He urged the Election Commission to take suitable measures so that the members of the Bugti tribe could exercise their right of vote in a free atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Liaqat Baloch and Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha visited the camp of the young doctors on hunger strike, and met their representatives. On the occasion, Liaqat Baloch stressed upon the authorities to accept the lawful demands of the young doctors .
