Humair Hayyat Khan Rokhari calls on Chief Minister Punjab

Lahore: A delegation led by Member National Assembly Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at Model Town, here today and apprised him of the problems of the people of Allowali, Mianwali affected due to erosion by River Indus. He informed that heavy losses have been caused to the houses of the people as a result of erosion by the river. The delegation included Member Provincial Assembly Malik Muhammad Feroz Joyia, Malik Muhammad Hanif, Malik Irfan Ahmed, Malik Muhammad Shabir and Rana Khushi Muhammad. Secretary Energy Jehanzeb Khan, Commissioner Sargodha Division, DCO Mianwali and concerned officers were also present on the occasion. The Chief Minister directed the concerned authorities to make short term and long term planning for saving the area from erosion and a permanent solution to this problem should be found. He directed Provincial Minister for Irrigation, Chairman Planning & Development, Secretary Communication & Works and Secretary Irrigation to visit the affected area tomorrow and submit a complete report by evening so that a strategy could be evolved to deal with the problem.
