Lahore: Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hassan, has appealed to the nation to join the rallies and demonstrations on February 5, to demonstrate complete solidarity with the Kashmiries, and also to warn the rulers that any attempt to befriend India at the cost of national solidarity would not be tolerated.
In a statement here on Sunday, he said that the cowardly rulers in Islamabad had been betraying the blood of the Kashmiri martyrs for the last five years by continuing Pervaiz Musharraf’s Kashmiri policy but New Delhi had shown its enmity towards this country at every step. He said that India’s Foreign and Interior ministers had admitted the involvement of extremist Hindu groups in the blood letting of Muslims but the Pakistani rulers had not the courage to protest over that.
Syed Munawar Hasan said that in order to free Kashmir from India’s, unlawful occupation, the whole nation would have to come on roads and prove that they are with the Kashmiris, and would not spare any sacrifice for the liberation of Kashmir. The JI Ameer also cautioned the champions of the world peace that their double standards in respect of the Muslims and their anti Muslim policies had been fully exposed, and they must abandon their biased approach in regard to the Muslims and take serious honest efforts to liberate Kashmir and Palestine from the India’s and Israel’s unlawful occupation. He said, the US was patronizing all anti Islam activities across the world, and it was primarily because of the US veto that the UN resolutions on Kashmir and Palestine had not been implemented.
Syed Munawar Hasan pointed out that the US President Obama , in his address at the time of fresh oath taking, had admitted that the US had badly failed to achieve its goal through war. Obama had also admitted the US defeat in Afghanistan,. Therefore, he said, in the interest of world peace, President Obama should give practical shape to his policy statement of resolving problems through dialogue, and announce immediate pull of his troops from Afghanistan, Iraq and other Muslim states. He should also abandon the support of India and Israel paving the way for the liberation of occupied areas. He said that a completely impartial policy by the US and its sincere efforts to save the world from the horrors of war alone could restore the world community’s faith in the US.
