Now its Maryam’s turn to distribute laptops

PML-N Central Leader Maryam Nawaz Sharif   poses for a group photo on Laptop distribution CeremonyLahore: Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Maryam Nawaz has said that the male and female students will have to play their active role for the progress and prosperity of the country and the nation and those students fulfilling the merit are pride and a guarantee of a bright future of the country and the nation. She said that Punjab government of PML-N has laid the network of development projects throughout the province and common men are benefiting from their fruits. She said that the students will have to be equipped with modern knowledge and technology for competing with the developed countries in the global world so that they could play their active role in the development of the country by using the modern technology. She said that in the past, thieves and looters used national exchequer for their interests and now they are criticizing the welfare projects of Punjab government just to cover their inefficiency.

She expressed these views while addressing laptops distribution ceremony among female students of 17 women colleges of Lahore at Alhamra Cultural Complex today. Advisor to CM Begum Zakaiya Shahnawaz, Shaista Pervaiz Malik, senior teachers and a large number of female students attended the function.

Maryam Nawaz said that Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has taken revolutionary steps in education sector. She said that the development projects initiated by Punjab government are not only being appreciated all over the country but other countries are also following Punjab government by distributing laptops among their students. She said that Punjab government has started a new journey of light by distributing solar lamps among two lakh male and female students of schools and colleges at a cost of Rs.2.5 billion which will help in ridding them of loadshedding. Maryam Nawaz said that the students will have to play their role not only for the development of the country but will also have to remove the wrong impression of Pakistan in the comity of nations. She stressed upon the students to take part in the general elections actively and use their vote properly. She said that PML-N after winning the next general elections will lay the network of development projects throughout the country. As many as 2030 laptops were distributed among the students of 17 women colleges of Lahore on merit. Earlier, guard of honour was also presented to them.
