President Zardari should not accept resignation of Chairman NAB:Ch Shujaat Hussain

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujaat Hussain has advised President Asif Ali Zardari not to accept resignation of Chairman NAB.
In a statement issued here today, Ch Shujaat Hussain said that Chairman NAB post is constitutional post, resignation of Chairman NAB from his post prior to the elections is not proper as this would leave the country in chaos and a new debate will start, as such President Asif Ali Zardari should not accept resignation of Chairman NAB Admiral (R) Fasih Bokhari.
He said that there is a constitutional process for changing the Chairman NAB under which posting on this post is done by the government after consultations with the opposition. He said elections are near and in these circumstances; even consultation will become victim of politics. Ch ShujaatHussain has thus advised the President not to accept the resignation of Chairman NAB who has tendered his tendered his resignation under pressure. He has also asked the Chairman NAB to withdraw his resignation forthwith in order to avert the crisis.
