Drs can not go on strike under Essential Services Act :spokesman

Lahore: A spokesman for Punjab government has made it clear that Essential Services Act 1958 has been enforced in all government hospitals under which all the doctors and paramedics are bound to perform their duty. He said that action will be taken against the elements involved in strikes or creating hurdles in the treatment of patients in government hospitals.
The spokesman said that government has made proper security arrangements to provide protection to dutiful doctors and staff performing duties in the hospitals so that provision of medical facilities to the masses could be ensured.
