Lahore: Spokesman for Punjab government has said that Imran Khan had sent a request to Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for land for Namal University but when Punjab government inquired about the required land it was revealed that it was private land and of Dehi Shamlat.
Refuting the allegations of Imran Khan, the spokesman said that Punjab government had expressed its inability to give Dehi Shamlat and private land to Imran Khan for Namal University as private land cannot be occupied and given to a private institution. The spokesman said that Imran Khan is occupying eight residences of teachers of boys’ college and the hostel of the students for the last four years and has neither vacated the residences occupied in the name of university nor paid their rent.
