Lahore: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf Imran Khan has strongly condemned target killing in Karachi in which there are reports of eight people having been killed in the violence, injuring many while vehicles have been torched. The chairman has offered condolences to the family members of the deceased. He has expressed concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi. The chairman has strongly condemned the damage to public life and property.
Imran said that his party believes that supporters of violence aim to destroy national unity by targeting innocent people. He also warned the government of its inefficient governance which is resulting in these target killings.
The Chairman appealed the people of Karachi to remain calm and help restore peace in the financial hub of the country. Acts of violence will only cause further damage to the public and is not a solution to the underlying problem. He demanded active role of the law enforcing agencies to control the situation and restore normal life in the city. Chairman PTI expressed deep sorrow to the bereaved families, offered his condolences and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
