Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif today attended the oath-taking ceremony of new Governor Punjab Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood at Governor House. The Chief Minister congratulated Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood on assuming the office of Governor Punjab and expressed good wishes for him.
Earlier, when the Chief Minister arrived at Governor House for attending the oath-taking ceremony, the new Governor Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood received him. Later, the Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Governor Makhdoom Ahmad Mehmood held a meeting. Chief Justice Lahore High Court Mr. Justice Umar Ata Bandial, Corps Commander Lahore Lt. Gen. Rashid Mahmood, Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah Khan, Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, Ehsanuddin Qureshi, Special Assistant Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Jehangir Badar and other personalities were present on the occasion.
The Chief Minister and the Governor Punjab talked in a cordial atmosphere during the meeting and both the leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and running the affairs of the province with mutual understanding. It was also agreed upon to establish best working relationship in the Punjab province during the meeting.
