Ch Shujat Husain felicitates Christian on Christmas

Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League President Senator Ch Shujat Husain and senior central leader and Deputy Prime Minister Ch Parvez Elahi have felicitated Christian brethren on the auspicious occasion of and said that PML will always be sharing moments of happiness and sorrow with the Christians.

In their separate messages of felicitations, the two leaders have said that our party celebrates all religious festivities of followers of all religions living in Pakistan at party level in which the leaders as well as workers actively participate.

They said that in the light of teachings of Islam and Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, we have always made all possible effort to defend the rights and interests of the Christian community and other minorities and taken effective and result-oriented measures for ensuring respectable status for them in the society.

They further said that PML believes in mutual and religious harmony and will continue efforts for their promotion, has taken a number of great steps of historical importance during its tenure for the minorities including right of dual vote for the minorities, doubling of their quota in jobs and provision of substantial development funds.

They said that PML in future will also continue efforts for solution of their problems and accepting their demands which also include increasing minorities’ representation in the Senate and the assemblies.
