Lahore: Special Assistant to Chief Minister Punjab on Health Khwaja Salman Rafique has said that the Punjab government is making all-out efforts for the progress and betterment of minorities and to protect their rights.
Addressing a ceremony held at Alhamra in connection with Christmas celebrations, he said Quaid-e-Azam in his sayings has called for protecting rights of minorities and the national flag of Pakistan guarantees the protection of minorities’ rights as its white portion represents minorities. He said all religions give the message of peace, love, respect and brotherhood, therefore, all minorities should play their role for the progress and development of the Pakistan so that the country could be made heaven of peace.
Khwaja Salman Rafique and Mrs. Khwaja Salman Rafique cut a Christmas cake. The Christian community was represented by Pastor Lahore Sister Shama Pervaiz. The Christmas songs were also sung on the occasion.
